'all I have to give' is back and with another interesting recipe to share..

yar since the raya is another few days...:)

nway first of all I wanna proudly present...BISCUIT MANIK!!!!

yeah...this biscuit is a 'traditional' biscuit of my family since we inherit it from beloved nenek..

and actually I would like to share about this biscuit coz many people keep asking me how to make it...what the recipe...and so on..

so I will reveal it here...:)

first of all let me give some brief history about this unique and tasty biscuit...ceh..:P

actually my beloved nenek which is at my mama side was learning making this biscuit from one of her singaporean friend..

anddat singaporean lady used to travel from singapore and will stay at nenek's place..

nway dat singaporean lady was good in making cooking and baking cakes...

so biscuit manik was one of her talent and nenek was very interested to learn it since it was quite unique and there's no such cookies like it at that tyme..

btw biscuit manik has its own 'acuan' which is a stainless steel 'acuan',..

and that 'acuan' was cost rm18 during dat tyme but today it is cost rm180 per 'acuan'...

erm can you see how money lost its value...:)

luckily nenek had 2 'acuan' and that's the 'acuan' which we used to make the biscuit...

erm the 'acuan; is much much older than me tho...:P

btw mama was very2 had patience and talent in making cookies and baking cakes..

yeah..she inherit it from nenek..:)

so biscuit manik was one of her best expertise....

and during hari raya there will be lots of orders especially from relatives and friends...

and now that talent goes into me and kcik..

its our time to inherit this special talent and will make sure that our kids will have it too..Godspeed..:)

nway biscuit manik has a very simple ingredient which is butter+sugar+flour+rose flavour+manik+choc rice...

yet it demands lots of patience in doing it which is the process of making it have lots of 'pantang' to maintain the taste of the biscuit...hu3...

such 'pantang' like have to dry the flour under the sun+have to use a very quality butter which is butter churn is the best+cant use the hand mixture+dun be too crispy or else it will break and so on...hu3...

yar.. a very2 manja biscuit...:P

but it really guarantee the best and superb taste of the biscuit...

so making biscuit manik will be the hari raya project for every year...:)

and plus with other biscuits too...

this is the only way that can turn me into raya mode and really enjoy of making it...:)

btw I dont feel to give the full idea of making this cookies coz you cant do it if you dont have the 'acuan'..
